Terms of Service | Organized Tutoring

1. Service Description

Organized Tutoring ("the Service") is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform designed to help private tutors manage their tutoring practice. The Service provides tools for student management, session tracking, scheduling, parent communication, homework and assessment tracking, lesson planning, and AI-powered note and report generation.

2. Account Terms

You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Organized Tutoring cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.

3. Payment and Billing

The Service offers a 14-day free trial. After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service. Subscription plans are available at $12 per month (monthly plan) or $99 per year (annual plan). All prices are in USD. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize recurring charges for your chosen plan.

4. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until the end of the period you have already paid for. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods. If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged.

5. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the Service, including student information, session notes, assessment records, lesson plans, and any other content you create. Organized Tutoring does not claim any intellectual property rights over your data. We will not sell, share, or otherwise distribute your data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service to: violate any applicable laws or regulations; infringe upon the rights of others; transmit harmful, offensive, or unauthorized content; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems; or interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Organized Tutoring shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from: (a) your use or inability to use the Service; (b) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein; (c) any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Service; or (d) any bugs, viruses, or the like that may be transmitted to or through the Service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

8. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

9. Termination

Organized Tutoring reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or illegal activity, or if we reasonably believe your use poses a risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, you may request a copy of your data within 30 days. After that period, we may delete your data permanently. You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
